Sisters!

Ok … sorry it took a day longer than anticipated, but here's the rest of the story!!

Gotcha Day, for those who have experienced it can go many varied directions … all at the same time.  The emotional undertones, overtones, besidetones, uptones, and downtones are all big players in this moment of unsure expectations.  So … what Anna and I talked about with Lucy is to not have any expectations, to just let the moment ride and to let it define itself within the realms of understanding all the moment brings (not sure I understand this at all but seems Lucy does).  I say this because I am convinced that Lucy was made for this moment.  Continue Reading…

Jenna!!

Ok … have a good bit to say about Gotcha Day (yesterday) and not to much time to spill it right now.  I'll have some more time tonight after the girls hit the sack.

Anyway, yesterday could not have gone better.  Had some tears all around but that's all good!  After 5 hours of travel and meeting her new fam, Jenna met it with some trepidation and shed some sad expected tears.  That said, she is an excessively joyful and happy girl.  Can't wait for ya'll to meet her. So here are some pics to check out and I'll fill some of the detail gaps tonight.  It was a quite incredible day.

Change of Venue!

Well … we've found that communicating via blog is not as easy as we anticipated for reasons that will be withheld.  So, that said we are switching all our communication while we're here in China to my worship blog which seems to be working ok.

Here's the report for the day … quick and easy … before sleep overtakes.  We went and checked out the Great Wall, which is one of the single most amazing things I've ever seen.  So, seeing Lucy practically mountain climb up to some of the watchtowers made it exponentially more amazing.  After that we beat feet (or van) over to the Forbidden City – most massive house I've encountered – built by the Emporer Ming a couple of hundred years ago for him and his posse.  We froze.  After a short time we had enough cold and decided to head back to the hotel to wind down before dinner.  We have to be up at 4:30 AM … yes, I repeat AM, tomorrow to fly out to Nanning so I am now going to ….. zzzzz!

Oh … one more thing.  Drum roll please!!  Jenna will come tomorrow and Lucy will have her sister (she's excited by the way!!).
